Trip to the zoo

Here are some pics from our trip to the zoo last month when all the kids were here visiting. Africa Mia has been opened for a few years now and we always enjoy an excuse to go visit the animals!

This rooster was really cool, certainly not African but cool nonetheless!

Sweet Ostrich. Even though they will bite your fingers off given the
opportunity, those eyes sure make you wanna hug it out.

Don't ask me to tell you the name of this giant cow beast, but they were beautiful!

Sweet zebra... not really, the herds apparently like to kick the baby cows to their death which is why there is only one in with the cow beasts! Did you know -- zebra's control their body temperature by expanding and contracting their stripes? Cool eh?

The gorgeous giraffes... the kids got to feed them
thru the fence. They are amazing up close.
