New Curtains

I am NOT crafty, I have made very little with my sewing machine other than a dog bed and a table cloth thingy... but I needed curtains, and you can't just run to the store and buy curtains in Costa Rica, at least not where I live... so I had to get crafty and make them myself... which as it turns out I totally rock at making curtains. Okay that's a push but I didn't do too bad. Here is what I ended up with...

Bedroom - This was a tablecloth that I cut in half and wa-la...curtains.

Another table cloth - Kitchen

This isn't a curtain at all - this is the fabric for my new sofa and chair being made now...

Living room - this is like a linen fabric...and far to white so I
dressed it up with a funky wrap as a tie back...hey it works and I like it!

Riley's new discovery

Riley likes being naked...like REALLY likes it... but guess what he found? He is totally amazed with it and enjoys taking a peek from time to time, playing with his toys, returning to his new found treasure, back and forth, back and forth...

When live gives you lemons...

Okay so life didn't give us lemons, my father in law did...and the things needed a good squeeze. Jax had a blast squeezing them, then we lost water and things were quite sticky for a while.

Aaron is going to use the juice for some hot sauce recipes he is working on, and we also put it in with some fruit in our smoothies, and in our beers of course:)

New Pics - July Family Fun

We have had a great month so far. In June Judy returned from the states with Dana's kiddos Mya and Gilli and the boys have been enjoying them ever since... I am getting so spoiled with all these kids here to entertain the boys!!! Dana came with Marni's kids a week ago and had to leave (with her two) today so its a sad day.

We had a blast playing with the girls and seeing Dana, riding horses, going to the beach, playing games and just hanging out. Here are some pics of the last month-o-fun.

The New Digs!!

Well we finally moved! It was so amazing watching the transformation of the house and we are exciting to be getting settled into our own space, routine, etc... While we still have loads of crap to sort thru, I wanted to get some pics up so you can see it semi-lived in, mega-messy!!! I have more photos that you can see here.

Mom's Visit

Mom came and left already. This was her shortest trip yet and I made sure to get the most out of her while she was here, for cleaning that is!!!! While preparing to move, we were in much need of a window scrub down. We have these annoying paneled glass windows that are a true PITA to clean. Caked on water spots, paint, etc... we didn't even bother with windex as it did no good, not even vinegar could clean these things... at any rate, they are worlds better than they have been in years and you can see thru them, thanks mom!!!!

I did let her break for fun one day when we went ziplining and monkey playing!! Here are the pics of her visit!!
